uberdork Superheater is one of the most melodic noise rock trios I have seen in the Twin Cities. Like a much speedier Cherubs, their sound is unhinged, yet pop-like and accessible. The sum of its parts is fantastic. Rumbling, distorted bass plays underneath shiny, yet gritty, guitar fills while propelled by urgent, riffy drums. My favorite track is Shiner. It lurches about like a sad, drunken, circus clown that eventually gets blown out of the big cannon (Heatvision- the next tune) during the finale. Favorite track: Shiner.
